]]> The course is an introduction to the geographic and cultural elements of the world’s major regions. Demographics, origins, language, religion, geopolitics, and agricultural features of the regions will be covered. The importance of place (geography) and how it shapes the character of the neighborhood, city, country and world will be emphasized as students examine key issues from a geographic perspective. (Fulfills Social Science requirement.)
