Program Overview

New Hampshire healthcare practitioners and healthcare support occupations account for 9,500 projected jobs by 2030, nearly 20% of all new jobs in the decade. Employment projections specifically for NH Licensed Nursing Assistants is expected to rise 6.8% between 2020 and 2030.

Though there are many LNA training programs available in New Hampshire, the Âé¶¹ÒùÔº Community College (GBCC) LNA training program, is designed with flexibility in mind. The program is a hybrid model, which includes online learning coupled with in-person lab and clinical hours. The model assists those that are currently employed to have time to maintain a job and participate in learning for their new career.

Certification Preparedness:

At completion, students will be prepared to sit for the state certification examination and submit their Board of Nursing LNA license application.

Program Requirements:

  • Age 16 & older
  • Completed application
  • Job History
  • Interview
  • Pass criminal background check
  • Pass a drug screening

Class Format

Our courses combine online theory, in-person labs, and hands-on clinicals to offer a flexible and comprehensive learning experience.

  • Online Theory (60 hours total): The theory portion of the course is completed online, allowing students to learn at their own pace. 
  • In-Person Labs (30 hours total): Labs are held in person at Âé¶¹ÒùÔº Community College.  (TBD prior to start of class).
  • Clinicals (60 hours total): Clinical experiences occur at a partner facility within the Seacoast area. (TBD prior to start of class).

Additional items needed PRIOR to the start of class:

  • Drug screening
  • Proof of TB test within the last 12 months
  • Criminal background check
  • Copy of Basic Life Support Certificate
